Dan Bremnes "Where The Light Is" - Christian Music

I've always enjoyed Christian music. It's a relatively small group of musicians, so there's a lot of hokey stuff, but there's also some amazing artists who succeed at portraying the emotions that Christians like myself love to connect with.

This song, in particular, is my current jam. No one knows how things will turn out and sometimes good decisions have difficult consequences. This song is just a reminder to be humble and to trust.

Psalms 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God... more

Farewell Autonaut

Autonaut was my neat blogger alias from December 2007 until just earlier this week. Why? Because that was a thing you did from 2007 to about a week ago. Honestly, I'm a bit behind on updating my personal brand and shame on me; I should know better as a marketing professional.

Let's pay our final respects to Autonaut. May he rest in peace.

Enough respects. Hello davidjohnwyatt.com!

This new website will continue to be my personal blog and archive of thoughts and commentary on love, life, politics, and a smattering of miscellaneous antidots. It will also be a static hub for my professional content including details on my various digital projects and professional contact information.

You'll see the Capes Media, LLC name on a lot of my stuff because that's me too! I set it up to be the one ring that binds them all and because why not? Now I have an LLC and a little protection if any of my digital projects go south. Hurray for that.

So this is my new digital footprint. Bookmark it or visit my desktop site to sign up for updates via email. Maybe I'll entertain you... maybe I'll enlighten you.. or maybe I'll tick you off. Either way, we all win.

Guru Days Video

You already got the recap, but here's a cool video I put together for my company to brag about the visit.

It's neat.

Mobile & YouTube Guru

So that was amazing...

It took me 5 years and millions of dollars of advertising spend on Google to finally get an invite out. It was a great time.

The campus was pretty cool. Our conferences were at the Google Tech Corners, not at the Googleplex, so it wasn't as Googley as you might be thinking.

Summer Guru Event With Google

Today I fly to California to visit Google's international headquarters. My company was invited to participate in Google's Agency Summer Guru Series. Here's their fancy Guru logo:

Day one is the Mobile Guru Day and day two is the YouTube Guru Day.

I'm pretty excited because I've been using these tools to manage advertising campaigns for about five years now for many thousands of businesses. I'll post some pictures when I get back.

4 Years Later

I'm back.

I've recently decided that blogging is something that I need, so stay tuned for the occasional thought and be prepared for me to launch a new blog or for me to purchase a real domain for this one. After all, this blog has so much messy, young adult adventure, I'd hate to wipe the slate.

Thanks for reading. See you soon.

A brief history of my blog.

I started blogging in 2002 and was consistent for about six years while the world of social media was quickly evolving.

I originally started blogging so that my long-distance girlfriend could read elaborately formatted letters on Live Journal. My friends started reading too and I decided that blogging was a great way to share my life with people who I knew cared about it. I took a break from blogging after high school and became a missionary in the UK for a couple years and when I got back, I picked up blogging on Blogger, a much more public, user-friendly platform.

My family started reading and then I got a few regular followers around the world... but not too many.

When MySpace gave way to Facebook, my blogging started to feel more like noise in the digital world and I lost my passion.

But now, there's so much to share...
